Electronic Discovery Services (iDiscover)

Our "litigation grade" Electronic Discovery software has been tested and approved by the same computer forensics company that trains the FBI, CIA, DOJ, DOD, etc..

Capitol now provides in-house "litigation grade" electronic data discovery services to our clients. We can take email, attachments and/or application files and convert them to TIFF or PDF. During this process, we will extract the text of both the email and the attachments with 100% accuracy and create an instant database which is compatible with all litigation databases (Summation, Concordance, etc.) Additionally, we also capture all of the "available" meta data.

As a part of our electronic discovery launch, we are currently offering a file list report (Click for sample) to all of our clients. This means that we can take a CD, hard drive, or any electronic media containing email, attachments, and/or application files and create a detailed report. Our file list report will also provide an estimated page count prior to the project beginning. This report is a logical first step we provide our clients before they move forward with their electronic discovery project, preventing them from processing unnecessary or unwanted files. Additionally, each CD that is delivered to our clients goes through an extensive electronic and manual page for page quality control process that is unmatched in the industry.

iDiscover Deliverables from Capitol

1. TIFF Images or PDF: Not all TIFF images are created equal. Our images have the BCC included. You have the option to have your images with or without Bates and/or text burned into the image if needed. (Attorney's Eyes Only--Confidential)
2. Extracted Text of both the email and the attachments: This is used like OCR, but better! A 100% accurate, TXT file for the body of the email and all of the text-based attachments will be created.
3. Available Meta Data: Some Programs strip out the meta data of documents. If it's there, it will be captured and put into another field in the database called other props.
4. Coded Data: BegAttach, EndAttach, BegDoc, EndDoc, Author, Recipient, CC, BC, DocDate, DocType, DocTitle, Folder, Page amount, Link to Attachment file, Source, and additional meta data--including the Hash Value--will be captured and a data file will be created for loading into client's database allowing Boolean searches and the ability to create reports and perform sorts.
5. Litigation Database Specific Load Files: A database will be created that is compatible with virtually any image enabled database program including the following: Summation--SMI, Dll, Concordance--Opticon, Iconect, IPRO, DB Textworks, Virtual Partner, Microsoft Access and many more.
6. Attached Files and Source Files: We provide the original attachment and/or the application source file which is linked to the record so you can quickly view the file within your database in it's native application.
